2005:
Litter Survey was conducted throughout Carroll County to
come up with basic litter index as part of the Certification process
for Keep Carroll Beautiful.
April 2005: Official Certification for Keep
Carroll Beautiful was granted by Keep America Beautiful.
A celebration was held at the Cultural Arts Center.
September
2005: KCB partnered with the Carroll County Chamber of
Commerce and UWG
for Hands On Carroll County
October
2005: Beautification committee of KCB announced revival
of the Hidden Garden tours in spring of 2006 with proceeds
benefiting projects throughout the county.
November
2005: KCB board invited local educators to attend a seminar
on curriculum materials available to local schools that meet new
Georgia Performance Standards.
December
2005: Keep Carroll Beautiful recognized Sheriff
Terry Langley with its first annual Environmental
Excellence award at its monthly board meeting.
December
2005: KCB Board invited local law enforcement to
a round table discussion on code enforcement
for trash and litter.
December
2005: The city of Carrollton
is selected to be the site for the 2008 Historic Preservation
and Garden Pilgrimage tour.
