Carroll County, GA — September 17, 2025 — Keep Carroll Beautiful is excited to announce the new Fall 2025 edition of its popular “Tired of Tires” Amnesty Recycling Event. This free community program provides Carroll County residents with an easy and environmentally friendly way to dispose of unwanted tires, while supporting a cleaner, healthier county.
The event will take place from September 20 to September 27, 2025, at the Carroll County Transfer Station, located at 439 Simonton Mill Road. Residents may bring up to ten passenger vehicle tires per household for free recycling. The station will be open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The facility will be closed on Sundays.
Proper tire disposal helps prevent illegal dumping, reduces mosquito breeding grounds, and eliminates fire hazards. By participating in the amnesty program, residents can make a direct impact on the safety and beauty of Carroll County.
Keep Carroll Beautiful partners with Carroll County Government, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, and Gradick Communications to host events like these. Their continued support ensures that the community has safe and accessible opportunities to recycle and reduce waste.
Tire amnesty events are funded with the help of the STAR EPD program grant, which helps collect and recycle passenger vehicle tires from residents of Carroll County. Please help us keep Carroll County clean, green, and beautiful by responsibly disposing of your unwanted items.
The “Tired of Tires” event is part of Keep Carroll Beautiful’s ongoing tire recycling initiative, which provides resources and collection opportunities throughout the year. These efforts are designed to make recycling more accessible while raising awareness about the importance of waste reduction and environmental stewardship.
